Inauguration of the President of the Siam States

When is Inauguration Day?

Inauguration day occurs every four years on October 15 (or October 16 if October 15 falls on a Sunday) at the S.S. public Hall.

What is the president's oath?

The elected vice president takes the oath first, then the representatives, senators and other federal employees on the same oath.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the Siam States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."

Followed by the president elected to be sworn in;

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the Siam States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the Siam States."
